Over three days, we combine technical waterfall ice climbing with mixed climbing, developing your winter mountaineering skills step by step.
Our hotel completes the experience with culinary delights from an award-winning chef, a selection of fine wines presented by the sommelier, and the hottest sauna around.
What could be better?
This course offers a challenging and unforgettable experience that not only prepares you for bigger alpine goals, but also rewards you with stunning views of the Dolomite towers – with some luck, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Each day offers a good mix of instruction, training, guided climbs, and the enjoyment of the breathtaking mountain scenery.
This course is ideal for anyone planning to climb the Matterhorn or other technical peaks.

3–DAY COURSE OVERVIEW:
Day 1: Ice Climbing Refresher
The first day is dedicated entirely to ice climbing at the waterfall.
We review anchor building and practice the rope party flow: from belaying to clear communication. This includes planned retreat techniques: rappelling, lowering, and placing V-treads. We work intensively on technique, tactics, and mental strength to build a solid foundation for lead climbing and the days ahead.
To finish the day, the hottest sauna and a lively stop at the bar await us.
Day 2: Waterfall Ice Climbing – Multi-Pitch Route
On the second day, we tackle longer waterfalls and a structured multi-pitch route. We refine anchor building, rope management, line choice, and rope-team tactics. Throughout the day, you receive coaching and analysis to continually improve your technique, precision, and safety. The day ends with a relaxing sauna session.
Day 3: Mixed Ice Climbing
Day three takes us into mixed terrain, for example the “Mixedgartl.” We blend rock and ice techniques, training precise movements, hooks, and assessing delicate “cauliflower ice.” It’s the perfect opportunity to consolidate what you’ve learned and clearly see your progress.
