Winter is when things get really exciting. There’s nothing quite like the challenge of ice climbing – the sound of your tools biting into frozen waterfalls, the focus it demands, the places it takes you.

I’m running waterfall ice climbing courses throughout winter 2025/26, and I’d love to have you join. Whether you’ve never touched ice before or you’re already comfortable on vertical terrain and want to push further, we’ll work at your pace and build the skills you need.

These courses are also great training if you’re thinking about bigger alpine objectives down the line – the Matterhorn, Weisshorn, or other classic peaks. The movement, the rope work, the decision-making in cold conditions – it all transfers.

Mattertal, Val d’Anniviers or Saastal, Valais

Begin your ice climbing journey with this introductory waterfall ice climbing course. Sport climbing in both, single and multipitch waterfalls. The course begins with a conceive briefing, covering the fundamentals of ice axe techniques and safety protocols. And then, we’ll climb until our paws are tired.

Course duration: 1 day.
Easy access, nearby the famous Zermatt village. 

Location can be reached by public transport.
